Amy Brammer is the Clinical Supervisor at Optimum Eye Surgery, bringing a decade of experience in ophthalmology to her role. With a deep commitment to hard work, integrity, and honesty, Amy has earned the respect and trust of both her colleagues and patients. Her leadership is marked by a dedication to excellence and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Amy's philosophy in both her personal and professional life is guided by the Golden Rule: treat others as you want to be treated. This principle is evident in her interactions with her team and the patients they serve, fostering a supportive and empathetic environment within the clinic.

Beyond her professional life, Amy is happily married and shares her home with three beloved dogs. Known for her great sense of humor, she brings a lighthearted and positive spirit to everything she does, balancing the demands of her career with the joy she finds in her family and pets.

Amy's journey in ophthalmology began nine years ago, and her passion for eye health and patient well-being has only grown stronger over time. As a surgery coordinator and now as a clinical supervisor, she continues to inspire those around her with her unwavering commitment to the values she holds dear. Sarah Smith

Sarah is from Northern Virginia, right outside of Washington, DC. She has been living in Overland Park since she was in high school and attended Blue Valley Northwest. Sarah then attended the University of Kansas and studied political science and communications. Sarah took an interest in health policy and health communication while at KU. You may run into Sarah at the front desk or speak with her over the phone. However, she is eagerly spending her time learning how to become an Ophthalmic Technician, her ultimate goal. Sarah loves animals, listening to music, and watching football. She looks forward to meeting you all and helping care for your Ophthalmic needs!

Administrative Intern

Ojas Patel

Ojas Patel is our administrative intern. You can catch him at the front desk or speak to him on phone when calling our office. Ojas is a recent MD/PhD graduate from the University of Kansas. He was born and raised in Overland Park and went to High School at Blue Valley Northwest. He then went to KU for his undergraduate degrees in Biology and Philosophy. He further continued his education into Medicine as well as a PhD in Philosophy, where he studied meaningful living. He is hoping to match into residency in the next cycle. Outside of work, Ojas is a huge Chiefs fan and enjoys staying active with fitness and martial arts. He also loves to travel, make music, art, and learn new languages.

Ophthalmology Patient Care Specialist

Erin Eggleston

Erin has over 13 years of experience as an Ophthalmology Patient Care Specialist. She is dedicated to providing exceptional care and ensuring every patient has a positive experience. She is the newest addition at Optimum Eye, and we are excited for her to meet our patients and enhance their clinic experience with her warm and caring demeanor.

Erin values the connections she builds with patients and their families, making them feel welcome and supported. Erin is eager to create new bonds with the patients at Optimum Eye! Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones, cheering on her favorite football teams, and playing cards.
